Within the luxurious build quality of the Revo IPA-140 lies a monster of an amplifier. Capable of 140wpc into 8ohms (280wpc into 4ohms), a continuous current of 36A is achieved, with peaks of 150A - that's higher than some monoblock power amplifiers. Obviously, the IPA-140 is a fast and dynamic sounding amplifier, but thanks to its design, is in no way harsh or fatiguing - just flowing, dynamic, effortless music.
Separate power supplies provide power for the gain, driver, and output stages, and its low noise dual-mono circuitry allows its bandwidth to cover more than 2MHz.
One aspect of the IPA-140's design is that it is purely wireless - there's not one single cable inside the amplifier.
The Revo IPA-140 amplifier provides five analogue inputs as standard, with one of these being utilised if the high quality MM/MC phono stage is added. The fifth analogue input is a balanced XLR input for the addition of a suitably equipped source, such as Norma's Revo CDP1 compact disc player.
Input 3 can be configured as an AV bypass for incorporating into home theatre systems, and input 2 can be set up as an output for adding an external power amplifier or active subwoofers.
An optional digital board can be added, providing an asynchronous USB input, ideal for adding an Innuos music server, or a 432 EVO music server, adding music streaming services, internet radio, and direct digital streaming of music files stored on these products.
