The SB16 Ultra subwoofers from SVS represents the ultimate subwoofer. Over-engineered bass driver, hugely powerful amplifier, and app control allowing easy set up from your listening position, make for asubwoofer that offers everything you'd ever want in a subwoofer along with convenience and control at your fingertips. Despite this, the SB16 Ultra takes up very little floorspace, whilst still offering the sort of performance associated with much larger subwoofers.
A subwoofer relies on moving air to be able to bring you the punch, slam, and underlying menace of any movie soundtrack. SVS' 16" bass driver, using an 8" voice coil, fulfills this with ease. This over engineered bass driver allows 16Hz - 460Hz at +/- 3dB, which is an impressive range for ANY subwoofer.
No driver is anything without suitable amplification though. The SB16 Ultra uses a 1500 watt, cool running Class D power amplifier capable of producing massive 5000 watt peaks in order to cope with anything that James Cameron can throw at it.
And all this performance and technology from only a 20" footprint.
