hifi+ review here,

The Wharfedale Linton loudspeaker originally debuted in 1965. Well reviewed at the time, the Linton was an affordable loudspeaker, and this is something Wharfedale has continued in the 85th Anniversary design of this classic. Even today, quality three-way loudspeakers are now pretty rare under £1,000.

The sonic characteristics of the original design have also been preserved, despite having been updated with modern drive unit technology.

The three-way Linton uses a 1" soft dome tweeter for high frequencies, a 5" woven Kevlar midrange driver, and an 8" woven Kevlar bass driver. Bass depth is aided by dual reflex ports at the back of the cabinet.

Sensitivity is fairly high at 90dB, and impedance is nominally 6ohms, but can dip to 3.5ohms, so a good quality amplifier is required.

Frequency response covers 40Hz-20kHz at +/-3dB, with bass reaching 35Hz at -6dB.

The dimensions of the real wood veneer cabinet measure 565mm high by 300mm wide by 330mm deep (excluding terminals).

The sturdy, dedicated stands provide the best possible support for the Lintons, and also allow the storage of records as per the picture at the very top of this page.

When purchased with the Lintons, these £279 stands are available to the buyer for only £100.
