audiolab 7000CDT CD transport

The Audiolab 7000CDT is designed to do one thing, and one thing only - accurately retrieve the digital information from your compact discs and pass that information on to your accompanying DAC, whether that be a stand alone DAC, or one built into your amplifier or AV receiver.

As such, the 7000CDT is a very simple product with very little to talk about. Although it has been designed to accompany Audiolab's 7000 Series components, it can be used with any amplifier or system that has an optical or coaxial digital input.
A full colour, high resolution display adds a nice touch of class, and enhanced user experience to playing your favourite compact discs.
The back panel is extremely simple - one optical and one coaxial digital output to feed an accompanying DAC or system, and 12v trigger input and output to power up or down with the rest of the system, all controllable by one remote control.

The 7000CDT uses a buffering output stage in order to be able to re-read scratched or marked compact discs to insure it is outputting a 100% accurate digital stream to your DAC.

The 7000CDT Compact Disc Transport perfectly complements the 7000a amplifier, using the same physical form, layout, and display. The 7000CDT is purely digital, connecting to the 7000a via a single digital connection to utilise the high quality DAC in the amplifier.
