With the addition of an extra bass driver and a full length cabinet, the F501SP adds to the depth and scale of the F500SP model.
The F501SP is a two-and-a-half-way floorstanding loudspeaker incorporating a dual concentric array based on a 6" mid/bass driver and 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter, producing a single point sound source. This "IsoFlare" design insures an even in-room dispersion, and avoids any potential inter-driver phase issues. A second bass shares the output from 250Hz and below, increasing overall output, and relieving some of the load from the main driver array, and reducing excursion of the mid/bass driver, in turn reducing distortion and contributing to a clearer midrange.
The BassTrax venting system ports downwards from the underside of the cabinet onto a specially shaped diffuser which is bolted to the bottom of the cabinet, releasing bass energy uniformly into the room.
Fyne Audio's FyneFlute roll surround dissipates unwanted energy from travelling back through the cone and causing colorations.
The cabinet is available in gloss white or black, gloss walnut, and natural walnut veneer finishes.
