primare A35.8 multi-channel power amplifier
Primare's A35.8 is a flexible high-end eight-channel power amplifier suitable for two-channel systems as well as home theatre systems. Any two channels can be bridged, increasing the power from 150w to 740 watts - four channels can be utilised in fully bridged mode.
Using Primare's own APFC power supplies powering Hypex Ncore 500 Class D modules, Class D amplification provides a clean 150wpc into 8ohms (300wpc into 4ohms), and uses 0.5w in standby mode. Primare are well known for producing high quality, sweet sounding Class D amplification that runs cool, so can be hidden away in cabinets or within narrow shelving. Due to its neutral yet sweet nature, and unlike some Class D amplifiers, Primare amplification can be used successfully with a wide variety of loudspeakers.
Inputs can be renamed or set as a home theatre bypass, input level can be adjusted so all inputs play at the same level, and also set to be ignored by the up/down selection buttons on the fascia if not in use.
The A35.8 has eight amplifier modules, all fed by Primare's own bespoke designed APFC power supplies. It therefore has eight analogue RCA inputs, and eight balanced XLR inputs.
Any two channels can be bridged, increasing the power from 150w to 740 watts. For home theatre you can use eight channels of 150w for home theatre for an Atmos system, or bridge six channels to drive the front left/centre/right for 740wpc and have 150wpc for a pair of rear speakers for a 5.1 system. For stereo use, you can bridge to create four channels of 740w, and bi-amp your stereo loudspeakers to provide all the power you'd ever need, and more!
