svs ultra evolution nano loudspeakers
SVS' Ultra Evolution Nano loudspeakers are a two-way, ported bookshelf design. The driver array comprises of a 1" diamond coated aluminium tweeter and a 5.25" composite glass-fiber mid/bass driver, crossed over at 1.9kHz, just under the 2-5kHz region our ears are most sensitive to. Both drivers are set into aluminium gaskets. Both drivers allow the Nano to cover 44Hz-40kHz (+/-3dB).
The nanos are a nominal (and amp-friendly) 6ohm impedance, although the 85dB sensitivity will need some power if higher levels are required.
Finish options are gloss black or gloss white, as well as a black ash real wood veneer. Magnetic grilles retain a nice clean look to their facias.
While the cabinet thickness is 18mm for the most part, the front baffle is 1" thick for improved rigidity. The cabinet certainly looks and feels more substantial than many options around its price point.
The rounded and chamfered edges keep the Nano from looking like a typical box, giving them a nice smooth look, and also reducing their perceived size.
