hegel h150 integrated amplifier

The Hegel H150 is a 75wpc Class A/B amplifier whose output can drive all but the most demanding of speakers. Along with its high damping factor, the H150 takes a firm grip of any loudspeaker you care to pair it with.
With its new streaming platform, the H150 provides Qobuz Connect and Spotify Connect music streaming services, UPnP network streaming from locally stored music, and now accepts music via its USB input from USB sticks and drives. Internet radio and Podcasts can be accessed via Airable.
All of this is controllable from your fingertips via Hegel's easy to use control app, available on phones and tablets.

The Hegel H150 provides one pair of analogue RCA inputs as well as a pair of balanced XLR inputs to cater for higher quality sources. A variable line output allows the connection of an external power amplifier, or a subwoofer or two.
A pair of RCA inputs accepts direct connection from a Moving Magnet equipped turntable, which is based on the MM section of Hegel's own award winning V10 phono stage.
The network connection of the H150 allows UPnP music streaming of anything up to hi-res 24/192 FLAC and WAV files using one of many third party apps such as mConnect, and with the new streaming platform for newer released Hegel amplifiers, the H150 can use Hegel's own control app. Direct streaming from Apple devices is possible with AirPlay.
As well as the ethernet connection for network streaming, a digital Type A USB input allows the connection of a PC or Innuos music server, as well as two optical and one coaxial digital inputs for connecting external digital sources such as a CD player, or media streamers from the likes of Roku or Apple TV, as well as Sky boxes or Bluray players. A Type B USB input will accept hi-res music via thumb drives and HDD drives.
A coaxial digital output is also provided.

DualAmp technology separates out the current gain stage and voltage gain stages that are usually combined in amplifiers, allowing specific circuitry to do a better job, reducing distortion and preserving dynamic range.
DualPower technology supplies the output stage with a different power feed to that of the input and voltage gain stages. Like DualAmp, this gives lower distortion whilst maintaining high dynamic range.
SoundEngine2 technology preserves the original signal between stages, where distortion or errors tend to creep in, giving the advantages of Class A and Class AB amplifiers without the negatives, reducing high frequency distortion.
SynchroDAC technology uses true balanced signal processing to preserve dynamic range and lower distortion, lowering jitter and conversion errors, allowing the most faithful digital to analogue conversion possible.
All of the above technology has been developed by Hegel Music Systems to allow their products to stand out from a crowded market place, and win numerous awards worldwide.
