The Larsen 8.2 only stand 916mm high, and with a footprint that is about the same area as a record sleeve. The extra high frequency drivers and additional bass driver of the 8.2 add a far more effortless presentation over the 6.2, with a much fuller bass and midrange response. Truly a high end floorstander (without the high-end price tag) worth considering for those limited on floorspace or unable to consider imposing loudspeakers.
The Larsen 8.2 makes use of a larger cabinet volume than its smaller siblings, with two 180mm bass drivers - a second being situated in a separate chamber on the inside face of the cabinet. Along with two extra offset HF units per speaker, it all comes together to give a greater sense of scale and effortlessness.
The Larsen 8.2 loudspeakers present a nice easy 8ohm load for almost any amplifier, and sensitivity is rated at 88dB, making them ideal for most amplifiers. Despite their small size, their bass response is very well balanced, and extends as far down as 23Hz.
