innuos zen mini mkII
The Innuos ZEN Mini MkII is the ideal digital storage device for most hi-fi systems and multi-room systems such as Sonos, Denon HEOS, Bluesound, and Naim Muso.
CDs can be ripped in FLAC or WAV, but will also play back AIFF, ALAC, AAC and MP3 files.
On board streaming services also allow access to Spotify, TIDAL, and Qobuz, bringing even greater flexibility to an already great package. Internet radio is also accessible.
The ZEN Mini MkII has two 3.0 USB and two 2.0 USB connections, as well as ethernet.
A connection for off board power supply allows upgrading to a linear power supply to improve quality.
Being entirely digital, the ZEN Mini can be plugged directly into a USB equipped DAC and used as a media player. An AudioQuest DragonFly USB DAC can be added to give an analogue output to plug directly into any amplifier or hi-fi system.
Bespoke 'innuOS' editing software makes it extremely easy to change or add metadata and artwork via any web browser on a desktop PC or even a phone or tablet. Easy to use, versatile, and above all reliable.
The ZEN Mini is also Roon compatible, allowing it to function as part of a Roon ready system, or to be used as a stand alone Roon source.
The metal casework of the ZEN Mini provides proper sound insulation for quiet operation, and much better heat dissipation than conventional plastic cased NAS drives.
The ZEN Mini MkII uses a Quad Core Intel PCU, and comes equipped with either 1TB or 2TB of digital storage.
