wharfedale heritage loudspeakers

Since 1932, Wharfedale have been producing award winning hifi loudspeakers, originating from Gilbert Briggs' home in the valley of the river Wharfe, Ilkley, Yorkshire. After setting up a factory in Bradford a year later after increasing demand, his wife, Doris Briggs became the production line. This is probably the earliest true example of the hifi's 'cottage industry'.

Wharfedale's Heritage range of loudspeakers are built to commemorate Wharfedale's rich history of loudspeaker design. These models encapsulate the same vintage style of now classic models, updating them with modern technology.
